The Wharf - Pass-A-Grill Beach, Florida

Located just a mile or two from the famous Don Ce Sar Hotel on Beautiful St. Petersburg Beach sits what appears to be quaint and one of St. Pete Beach's best kept secrets. The only secret is how they managed to stay in business for as long as they have. Although the view is not bad of the intercoastal, the food and poor service really made up for it.
We were greeted, eventually, by some overdressed nazi with a bad haircut and attitude to match. Ok, fine, everyone can have a bad day and we were, as I said, eventually seated. After at least 10 minutes of sitting there only entertained by the noises our stomachs were making, I finally searched out a waitress.
Note that this is a WATER'S EDGE resteraunt so I didn't think it was out of line to order fresh seafood. Craving oysters, I ordered the Oysters Diane. Oysters Diane is supposed to be Rockefeller topped w/crab and a creamy sauce. Silly me, I should have asked if I had to specify if I wanted them fresh or spoiled and tasting like I sucked the iodine out of a rectal thermometer.  This made me immediately visit the oh so lavish "head" or bathroom and quickly heave up ol' Diane.

My spouse order the FRIED oysters, these too should have been ordered as FRESH.  On a positive note, the frozen deep fried french fries were the best part of the meal.

The Nazi, "Helga" or whatever the F@#% her name was, seemed disenchanted by our complaint and even stated that her cooks probably should have checked the oysters.

We soon ended up back at our hotel, feeling sick and sleeping it off instead of enjoying the sunshine and salt air.

We wish to warn ANYONE who visits St. Petersburg Beach if you want good food, good service, good value - DON'T VISIT THE WHARF at 2001 Pass-a-grille Way - St. Pete Beach, FL 33706!!

Instead, feel free to call them at 727-367-9469 and give them a hearty YOU SUCK!!!

Banditos By the Bay - Belize

Let's remember why we are here, do not let the tropical paradise of Belize fool you into thinking that you are going to get great food, served up by sexy natives in not more than a thong as you exit the boat at the port.  You won't Belize this one!
Thinking that we would enjoy the local fare as we exit the tender after the 15 minute ride from our cruise ship, we stepped into Banditos By The Bay - YAY!
At first glance, you see a fun looking dock style bar, hear Caribbean steel drums (later to find out this came from a digital sound machine in the corner), and a list of some of the most wild drinks anywhere.
Being the refined diner that I am, I immediately ordered "The Panty Ripper".  How bad could that be? After all, that could always lead to "Sex On The Beach", right?  WRONG!  The drink was terribly sweet and almost had a thickened texture, which when you drink it, and then remember the name, you almost throw up a little in your mouth.
I quickly pushed my cocktail aside and read the shear poetry that was the menu.  Please notice the condition of the menu and the fact that the name on the front of the menu does not match the name of this fine dining establishment.  WTF?

OK, we are hungry, we do stupid things when you are hungry, like order food that is on this menu.  I am sorry, I have no excuse.  We started out with the "Caribbean Fries".  This is a plate of reheated frozen fries that were drowned in a block of government cheese, at best!
The dish was so disgusting that when I threw the fries to the swarming sea gulls, they allowed it to hit the water and watch it sink to the bottom of the sea like a stone!
BUT WAIT!  THERE'S MORE!
To assure that this Belize Suck Fest, sucked even more, just out of shear comic relief, we decided to order the Belizian Tempura Shrimp.  More frozen fries, popcorn shrimp, and warm coleslaw.....Mmmmm.....and don't forget the secret sauce and shake paprika all over the place for color!

Well folks, they say, when in Rome, do as the Romans do.....I just want to warn you, that statement does not translate the same in Belize.  Love the country, love the diving, hate Banditos By The Bay - YOU SUCK

900 Degrees Woodfired Pizza

Located in beautiful Wiregrass at the corner of Bruce B. Downs and SR 56 in Wesley Chapel, FL has officially taken the lead on the "YOU SUCK" List.

I am going to take a rest......
Here are a few reviews from readers and "ex-customers"......

YOU SUCK
by Kate

The pizza was tasteless, expensive, and doughy yet burned. So the fact that service was awful, doesn't really matter. Service was slow even though there were like 5 people running the small joint. The staff looked like they were in lala land just standing there and didn't care about serving anyone. "Fussy Eater's" review looks like it was made by a staff member/owner. I can't believe they treated a customer like they did in Bob's review. I won't be going back. I had the best wood fired pizza in Orlando and was hoping for the same at this place. They would rotate the pizza while it cooked so the crust wouldn't burn and move it away from the flame if the crust was cooking faster than the toppings. I'll just stick to making my own pizzas. It's cheaper and better.

YOU SUCK

I am not one normally to write reviews but my experience with 900 Degree was so completely lousy, I felt compelled.
After waiting 15 minutes to even order drinks since our waitress forgot we were there, we put in our food order for 1 12" pizza and a calzone. About 30 minutes later the food came...the pizza was cold, tasteless and had nearly no cheese on it. The calzone had ingredients in the very middle only...the 2 sides (about 1/3rd on each side) were completely empty dough and the calzone was cold as well.
We flagged down our waitress and complained and she took our food back inside...to be told by the manager "that is the way we do things here...there's nothing we can do". I went inside to try to speak to the manager myself...and he refused to speak with me.
The waitress brought our bill and had removed our drink costs but we were to pay the $33 for a small pizza and 1 calzone.
All in all I have eaten at most of the wiregrass restaurants and most are pretty good...this place should be shut down. Do yourself a favor and try something else in the area.

You REALLY Suck!
by Izara

My husband and I live right down the street from this place, so when it opened we were really excited to try a new place. We even read a glowing review in the Wesley Chapel newspaper.
Well... tonight we went. The hostess sat us down outside, talked to us for a minute then left. We sat there for nearly 20 minutes and no one ever came back to the table. However, the other 5 tables around us were all served multiple times. At this point we got up to leave, went inside and put the menus on the hostess table and left. We began walking across the parking lot to get dinner at a place where they might actually care to serve us and the manager comes running out the side door and starts yelling across the parking lot 'what's up, where are you guys going?' My husband called back we never got service and were leaving. The manager then proceeded to scream at us, where all the other patrons could hear, "What is the matter with you? Did you just sit down or actually get seated?" He was so belligerent and unprofessional. He was so over the top we just kept walking and he slammed back into the restaurant.
I have never seen such a performance. If that is the kind of management this place has, it won't be there much longer. We will certainly never be going back.

Steak 'n Shake

One would think that a visit to Steak 'n Shake at any location should be the same. I mean every location has a moment of greatness and conversely, moments of shear disaster. HOWEVER, due to my misfortune, this Steak 'n Shake located at 16201 North Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa is strategically placed in a somewhat shared parking lot with the Home Depot that is closest to my home.

As I stated above, I can understand that if you visit a chain that all carry the same items, are all trained the same way and even most employees look the same with their black & white uniforms, but when you receive substandard food the 2nd time, the 3rd time, and finally the 4th time, one tends to get a tad bit on the disgusted side.  I realize that I am only ordering a slab of meat heated through on a 'grill' and then thrown on a bun, but I should be able to expect some sort of pride in the preparation and delivery of the food that my hard earned dollars just purchased.

Last night, we visited the Steak 'n Shake located at 16201 North Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa while out running errands thinking that a quick milkshake for me and an avocado burger & fries for him would tie us over until dinner time.

He was almost finished with his meal before 'the singing' waitress (who thinks everything is "AWESOME"), brought me a vanilla shake with Reese shavings plopped on top of it (I ordered the Peanut Butter Cup Milkshake that they advertise)
Milk Shakes
They argued with me stating "that's how you make one". The picture above doesn't seem to say that, does it? Not to mention that my order came close to the end of our 'dining experience'.

I give Steak 'n Shake at 16201 North Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa a HUGE "You Suck" and advise all to seek out a different location (note in no way am I saying that all Steak 'n Shakes are undesirable, just that location.)

Welcome to Eating Angry

The staff at Eating Angry would like to welcome you to read, comment, and of course add your own experiences in order to allow all of us to finally be TRULY vent about the terrible food and service that we are paying our hard earned dollars on.
Feel free to let the world know that just because some stupid 18 year old lock jaw town and country valley-girl wanna-be who can't contribute anything to society other than the ability to seat you, says "AWESOME", it really isn't.

God I just want to slap some of them.
